President's Message

“You can feel what’s happening here….” 

This is the most common phrase that I hear from community members, businesses, and other stakeholders who join me on tours of our program.  If there is a more heartfelt validation of the investment that our staff makes each day in the life of every child and parent who walks through our doors, I don’t know what it might be.  There is nothing I enjoy more than introducing our organization to people who care deeply about children.  Pathways is indeed a special place! 

Without the support of our community, Pathways would just be one more early education and care facility that enables parents to work and fulfill other responsibilities.  That fills a need that many have and is a worthy endeavor.  But in 1979, when Pathways (then Child Development Programs) spun off from Action, Inc. -- another special community program, so each could focus on its core competencies -- Pathways’ Board and staff committed to a mission that encompassed the entire family rather than just the child.  That is the primary focus that sets us apart from the majority of early childhood education centers.  My words are just that….words….But if you share our interest in the children who represent our future, please call and schedule a tour.  I believe you will also repeat the words that so many others have uttered.  Come feel what’s happening here.
