President's Message

Pathways for Children is such a special place!  These words are often repeated by the families who entrust their children to our care, by the volunteers who serve in many capacities such as our Board and  Parent Policy Council, by visitors, and by the staff who come to work each day knowing they will make a difference.  In 2005, we set out to better clarify this, and identified six core values.  Everyone involved with Pathways shares a deep commitment to children, families, and staff modeling respect and compassion for all.  Our staff value professionalism and accountability and understand that teamwork results in better outcomes for those we serve and fosters the collective strength to build on our strong foundation of services.   Pathways operates in a complex economic, social and political environment;  adaptability and flexibility guide our daily operations as well as planning and articulating a vision for our future.  These five core values are equally important, but the sixth binds all together - integrity.

I am very proud of the reputation Pathways has earned both in our community and beyond.  Each day I find new inspiration as I witness the investment so many make each day to assure that our children have everything they need to learn and appreciate the many opportunities that await them in life.  Our core values will always guide us in our very important work and assure that our community will continue to see the value of investing in our children.
