Consuela Harrison – Program Director, Centerboard Inc.

Consuela Harrison brings both lived and professional experience to her work, having survived sexual exploitation as a child and being out of the life for 14 years. For the past eight years, she has dedicated her career to supporting and advocating for youth who have experienced similar forms of exploitation and trauma. Her lived experience allows her to connect with young people on a deeper, more empathetic level while maintaining professional boundaries and trauma-informed care practices. She is committed to ongoing learning as language, policies, and best practices continue to evolve, ensuring that her work remains relevant, informed, and effective.
