Diondra Woumn– Statewide Trainer, Safe Schools Program for LGBTQ Students

Diondra Woumn (she/her) serves as the Statewide Trainer for the Safe Schools Program for LGBTQ Students, a joint initiative of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth. She brings extensive experience as a Health and Physical Education teacher in Lynn, where she developed inclusive, student-centered curriculum highlighting LGBTQ+ identities, gender expression, and healthy relationships. Diondra has collaborated with organizations such as Peer Health Exchange and Girls Inc. of Lynn and led initiatives like Mental Health Month to strengthen school climate and reduce stigma. Passionate about amplifying student voice, she has designed surveys and co-facilitated identity-based sessions to ensure programming reflects community needs. Diondra supports schools in creating safe, inclusive environments where all students feel valued and affirmed.
