Heather Penny, LCSW - School Linked Services Social Worker

Heather is a school linked services social worker at The Pettengill House, Inc., a local community social service agency in Amesbury, MA. She is a licensed clinical social worker with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Heather has been privileged to be a part of the social work field for over 20 years working with at risk children and families. She currently works closely with local schools to bridge the gap between home and school and foster children’s “readiness to learn”. Heather’s varied roles in public schools, Early Intervention, and community social service agencies, have enabled her to form a well-rounded perspective of the family as a “whole”. Through providing essential case management support and close collaboration with community partnerships, she continues to work to empower families to foster independence and agency in their lives.
