Mayor Kassandra Gove - Amesbury

Mayor Kassandra Gove has been in office since 2020, and despite the challenges of the pandemic has focused on creating partnerships and processes to better support our schools. In 2021 she created the Amesbury School Support & Empowerment Team (ASSET), a group dedicated to collaborating and communicating about the many issues our school community experiences. As Chair of the Amesbury School Committee, Mayor Gove knows the unique challenges our students, teachers and families face on a daily basis and created ASSET to ensure the City is responding appropriately and proactively providing support. The group currently has prioritized the creation of a comprehensive school crisis response plan to be released in 2023
