Louise Katz– Tobacco Education and Treatment Specialist, Institute for Health and Recovery

Louise Katz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Tobacco Education and Treatment Specialist based in Massachusetts. Since 2008, she has worked at the Institute for Health & Recovery, where she provides staff training and program consultation focused on integrating nicotine dependence education and treatment into services for substance use disorders. Her evidence-based trainings and consultations utilize the Stages of Change model and a trauma-informed motivational interviewing approach. From 2016 to 2023, Louise served as a faculty member teaching courses at AdCare’s New England Summer School of Addictions Studies. She has also provided behavioral health treatment services to individuals and families in residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
