Rachel Gwaltney – Executive Director, Children’s League of Massachusetts
Rachel Gwaltney is the Executive Director at the Children’s League of Massachusetts. In this role, she works to advance the mission of CLM and achieve policy, budgetary, and legislative wins for children and families across the Commonwealth. Prior to joining CLM, Rachel served as Director of the Massachusetts Coalition for Adult Education, leading implementation of the annual legislative agenda, as well as fundraising, communications, and member engagement activities. Rachel served as VP of Policy & Research at the National Summer Learning Association, where she led efforts to improve policy and best practices for summer learning and enrichment programs. In this capacity, Rachel worked with many federal, state, and local government, legislative, nonprofit, and advocacy partners, and coordinated with related sectors including health and nutrition, youth employment, child care, and STEM initiatives. Rachel also oversaw NSLA’s efforts to expand and promote the research on summer gaps, opportunities, and best practices.
