Pathways for Children is the leading provider of programs for children on Cape Ann, located in Gloucester, Massachusetts.  Pathways offers high quality care provided by well-trained, dedicated professionals who understand the needs of the developing child. It is care that helps a child feel safe and excited about living each day, that acknowledges the strength of each family, and that is able to provide help when needed.

We now know that quality care and education in the first years can impact the life course of a child. A developing brain is nourished by love, age-appropriate learning, limit-setting, nutrition, and early literacy experiences. When these elements are absent, there can be lifelong consequences. A skilled teacher in a quality program nurtures a child’s strengths and recognizes areas of concern, helping both the child and the family receive the support they need.

During our December 2011 Pathways Snow Ball, we were proud to honor Stacy Randell and 20 years of Cape Ann Families programs.  Thanks to Cape Ann TV, that special reception was preserved on video.  Please click here to enjoy the 17 minute tribute.  And, click here if you'd like to make a donation to support the future of Cape Ann Families.

What's Happening

In Loving Memory of Sheila S. Collins
April 1, 1933 – March 23, 2012

During her years on this earth, Sheila, a dedicated Pathways board member, shared her enthusiasm about and love for life so freely, enfolding so many people.  How blessed Pathways was that she held us in this embrace. We have established The Sheila Collins Fund in honor of this remarkable woman.

Every dollar given to this fund will provide crucial support to our early childhood education programs and enhance the assistance to families in need.

If you would like to make a gift in Sheila’s memory, please click here. (Type "Sheila Collins Fund" under 'Please direct my donation to').  Or, send your gifts to:  Pathways for Children, Att: Diana Foster, 29 Emerson Ave., Gloucester, MA.  Diana can be reached at 978-281-2400 x 320 if you have any questions.
