Because Parenting Is Better with Support
Pathways for Children offers a variety of parent education programs and support groups, including Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and parent/caregiver support groups in both English and Spanish. Families can also participate in several evidence-based parenting curricula designed to strengthen parenting skills, support healthy child development, and promote positive family relationships.
Active Parenting (Learn More) teaches practical, research-based parenting strategies that help families create positive change. The program emphasizes mutual respect, personal responsibility, effective communication, and proven cognitive-behavioral approaches to parenting.
Nurturing Program® (Learn More) helps caregivers develop positive parenting practices that foster nurturing relationships, support healthy physical and emotional development, and encourage age-appropriate expectations for children.
Parenting Journey (Learn More) encourages parents and caregivers to explore how their own childhood experiences influence their parenting today. The program also promotes self-care, resilience, and strategies for building stronger family relationships.
Positive Solutions for Families (Learn More) helps caregivers promote their child’s social-emotional development, understand challenging behaviors, and use positive, effective strategies to teach appropriate behavior. Children's play sessions are offered concurrently to support family participation. This program is funded through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care's Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) Grant.
“Everybody that I deal with goes out of their way to help me. The staff showed me a different perspective about parenting, about how to be a better parent. Things would have been hard to handle on my own without help from Pathways this year.”
